#MasterChef recap (Thu 17/05/12)

Gary, George, Matt, Matt - MasterChef Australia 2012

MasterChef Australia - Sun 7:30pm; Mon-Fri 7pm, Ch10 http://www.masterchef.com.au/ Previously on Masterchef, the 24 contestants were left to their own devices to serve paying customers. Andy’s team rose to the occasion and at the end of the night had more money in the till than Emma’s team, leaving them vulnerable at elimination. Now, it’s pasta, pasta, pasta and do OR die, with the guarantee that those who do DO will live forever (although check the terms and conditions) tonight on MASTERCHEF! We start with a shot of Mindy looking pensively out over the water, while Ben absentmindedly packs everyone’s bags, having drawn the … [Read more...]

Gary, Matt, George, Matt - MasterChef Australia 2012

MasterChef Australia - Sun 7:30pm; Mon-Fri 7pm, Ch10 http://www.masterchef.com.au/ Previously on Masterchef, Ben missed out on his chance for immunity as he, Andy and Emma cooked off against Dan Hong. Tonight, the contestants are let loose in two high end restaurants as their owners are punished for perceived slights against George and Gary. Morning in Sydney and the contestant get about doing contestanty things: Wade is shaving; Lydia is applying makeup (who?), Tregan is letting down troubled youths. Tregan tries to wake up Sam by indecently assaulting him but it’s no good because he’s a very heavy sleeper. Emma reveals they’re … [Read more...]

Gary, George, Matt, Matt - MasterChef Australia 2012

MasterChef Australia - Sun 7:30pm; Mon-Fri 7pm, Ch10 http://www.masterchef.com.au/ Previously on Masterchef, the honoured 24 arrived in Sydney and Masterchef HQ without losing a single limb or piece of luggage. Alice was the big failure when all of the judges refused to put her tongue in their mouths, while Ben topped Emma and Deborah for a chance at immunity. Tonight Ben exercises his right to fight for immunity against none other than the possibly known Dan Hong and two other people who may or may not know Dan Hong. He will battle it out serving entree, main and dessert, all for the right for a piece of cheap jewellery, so it … [Read more...]

Gary, George, Matt - MasterChef Australia 2012

MasterChef Australia - Sun 7:30pm; Mon-Fri 7pm, Ch10 http://www.masterchef.com.au/ Previously on Masterchef, the final pieces of the top 24 puzzle fell into place and now, regrettably, we get to know the contestants. Tonight, a mystery box challenge and the first time we get to see the contestants appear in the opening credits, as they are filmed in various life threatening situations. Kath is surrounded by vegetables but battles her way out to compete in the show. Back in Sydney finally, as Melbourne becomes a distant, grizzly memory. Various contestants arrive at Masterchef House. Emma reminds us of her dream to open up her own little … [Read more...]

Top 24 - MasterChef Austalia 2012

MasterChef Australia - Sun 7:30pm; Mon-Fri 7pm, Ch10 http://www.masterchef.com.au/ Last week on Masterchef, 75 contestants became 50, and 50 started to slowly be whittled down to 24. Kevin won an apron first for his revolutionary Trojan Chicken, while Audra turned a negative into a positive when her eggless chocolate tart proved to be a triumph over adversity and a victory over stupidity. Salmon was the cause of celebration for five contestants and devastation for another five, and Shannon Bennett’s deconstructed post modern Peach Melba proved too much for some. Tonight, 12 contestants, but only 6 aprons left. Sound familiar? Well … [Read more...]

Gary, Matt, George - MasterChef Australia 2012

MasterChef Australia - Sun 7:30pm; Mon-Fri 7pm, Ch10 http://www.masterchef.com.au/ Last night on Masterchef, five aprons were won, but at a cost, as the hopes, dreams and some more hopes, of five aspiring chefs were smashed on the floor like a Matt Preston tasting plate. We had to say goodbye to four wonderful people and Lucy. Beau became the judges’ whipping boy as his perfect butter allowed him the opportunity to glimpse into the future and see what everyone else would see 24 hours later. Filipo cursed his luck as he drew a blank, and blamed Amina for all his woes. Preston continued to taunt fashion conscious viewers with his outlandish … [Read more...]

Gary, George, Matt - MasterChef Australia 2012

MasterChef Australia - Sun 7:30pm; Mon-Fri 7pm, Ch10 http://www.masterchef.com.au/ Last night six more aprons were given away, and six more contestants joined Kevin on the stool, the tool on a stool, as the top 24 began to take shape. Filipo watched as Amina took the place he thought he deserved, while Wade watched through a forest of eyebrow hair. George tasted Delvindra’s curry, an admitted he wasn’t a fan of Indian food. Just as well it was a Sri Lankan curry, but I guess all curries look the same to you George. Tonight, cream into butter, egg into meringue, and Filipo into hospital, on MASTERCHEF! Ah beautiful Melbourne. … [Read more...]

Gary, George, Matt - MasterChef Australia 2012

MasterChef Australia - Sun 7:30pm; Mon-Fri 7pm, Ch10 http://www.masterchef.com.au/ Last night Kevin defiled a chicken before our eyes, and his chipped tooth earned him an apron. Delvindra experienced the joy of beef, or boeuf as it is affectionately known in France, for the very first time. Yukio gave us his best impression of instability. Mindy literally wiped the floor with her dish. Tonight 12 go into 6. Impossible you say? Well nothing is impossible on MASTERCHEF! 12 aprons. 6 people. Job sharing not allowed. Every man, woman or non gender specific person for themselves. This what they came here for. An apron. Yes, an apron. Years … [Read more...]

MasterChef Australia - Sun 7:30pm; Mon-Fri 7pm, Ch10 http://www.masterchef.com.au/ Last night on Masterchef, Mario the auto erotica detailer was put through after rubbing his head for the judges. Is this the new hugging? But anyway, with Mario through, the remaining aprons were dwindling fast. Who will be next? Who will go to the top? Who will assassinate George? Find out tonight, on MASTERCHEF! Mindy spent time in Malaysia and Brisbane so she knows exotic. She’s cooking her dad’s favourite dish, because she wants to set up a restaurant with her dad, who is currently fighting in Afghanistan, because he has all the money. No mention … [Read more...]
