As a part of their 2014 UpFronts presentation Network Ten confirmed the return of Puberty Blues for season two.
After their success turning the iconic and quintessential Australian novel into a series a return to the Sutherland Shire was always going to be risky. The first season brought the book perfectly and now… well, the characters have taken on a life of their own and the entire cast have returned giving us the expectation it’ll be at least as good as season one.
This first look aired during the finale of The Bachelor Australia and aside from the excellent acoustic version of Reckless (sung by Australian Crawl’s James Reyne) it looks like Ten will deliver us a series that continues to develop the coming-of-age story of the first season. Again Brenna Harding and Ashleigh Cummings look to deliver stunning performances as best friends Sue Knight and Debbie Vickers respectively, and the return of Claudia Karvan, Susie Porter, Dan Wyllie, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, Rodger Corser et al only further heighten expectations.
Can. Not. Wait.
You know how new z has it’s song ( the one sung in parliament ) and Chelsea or Man U,sing you’ll never walk alone. Let’s get Aussies to chant chant reckless? Make it happen sir
