More tennis than you can poke a stick at, and Ch7 is the beneficiary by a long shot down the sideline. On the east coast the hour long Seven News (1st – 1,235,000) & Today Tonight (3rd – 1,006,000) combo is giving Ch9 a shake but given the programming around it, it better win. BUT repeats of The Big Bang Theory (7:30pm: 7th – 726,000; 8pm: 6th – 766,000) do take out the coveted 7:30pm timeslot that Ch10 are eyeing off for Sun/Mon/Tue for the next few weeks.
Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: Today Tonight – Ch7
7:00pm: ABC News – ABC1
7:30pm: The Big Bang Theory (2 eps) – Ch9
8:30pm: Seven’s Tennis: 2013 Aust Open – Night 3 – Ch7
9:30pm: Seven’s Tennis: 2013 Aust Open – Night 3 – Ch7
Channel 7 won the night (21.6%), followed by Channel 9 (18.9%), ABC1 (15%) & Channel 10 (9.6%).
Seriously, if the other networks would put half decent television on, instead of some stupid pretend reality crap that no one watched, 7 might have some competition. Personally, I have turned the tv off and am *gasp* talking to my husband rather than watching the crap that passes for programming while the Tennis is on.
