The Voice Australia (1st – 1,579,000) still leads the night though suffers its first real hit this season, down 400K on Sunday and the first figure below 1.7m for season two. Reflective of the quality of the contestant performances on last night’s show, or just too many other distractions? The Block Sky High (3rd – 1,281,000) continues to cement its position as the other reality show to watch on Nine AND leads the way at 7pm ahead of the first clash with Seven’s House Rules this Tuesday. There can only be one winner. What the night did do is slide Revenge (20th – 550,000) almost entirely out of the Top 20 for the first time… audiences finding the melodrama now way too over the top (just in time for a rushed visit from one of the stars).
Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Nine News – Ch9
6:30pm: Today Tonight – Ch7
7:00pm: The Block Sky High – Ch9
7:30pm: The Block Sky High/The Voice Australia – Ch9
8:30pm: The Voice Australia – Ch9
9:30pm: Q&A – ABC1
Channel 9 won the night (26.7%), followed by Channel 7 (20.5%), ABC1 (14%) & Channel 10 (10.3%).
