Australia’s premier independent TV awards are back for their fourth big year, replete with all the truthiness you can handle and then some! This is your opportunity to have your say by voting and maybe even winning an awesome prize!
Voting runs until 11:59pm 9 April 2014; one vote per person. That’s because once you’ve voted you’re in the running for some incredible prizes each week: TV swag packs; signed books (from authors like Kerri Sackville); a mega TV on DVD pack from Madman Films; and IceTV has very generously offered a bunch of prizes from their wide range of incredible products; and lots, lots more. Winners will be contacted via email and announced via Twitter and the weekly update post, so keep your eyes peeled. There’s great prizes being given away each week!
There are a couple of very special mentions for sponsors:
IceTV have again got behind the 2014 Molkies in their usual awesome way with all sorts of products from their incredible range, including year long subscriptions to their amazing EPG service!
You could win this amazing Beyonwiz DP-P2 2TB PVR – that’s 1000 hours of TV you could record – plus a 5 year subscription to IceTV’s amazing EPG service just by voting! With IceTV’s intelligent recording EPG, you can configure your PVR or Media Centre to get all the latest guide updates as well as set to record a show or series via the Web or on your iPhone or Android device. It is without question the best EPG available on the market. Are you looking to replace your TiVo? IceTV have just what you need. Thanks IceTV!
MYFACE FIGURINES have again come on board and, apart from creating all 12 Molkies statuettes to present to their respective winners at the Molkies Awards ceremony have generously donated two vouchers for single pre-set figurines! You can win your own MyFace Figurine! The craftsmanship involved in a MyFace Figurine is outrageously cool so I’m looking forward to what Trent & his team come up with. Thanks MyFace!
The awesome team at EFTM have very generously donated a brand-spanking new Samsung Galaxy S4 Active – a smartphone that keeps you going, even if it gets wet! A huge thanks to Trevor & the gang at EFTM for this awesome voting prize.
Now it’s over you to – the Australian TV-consuming public. Make your vote count. Nail your colours to the mast. Tell people what’s great/horrid/amazing/annoying about Aussie TV and spread the word. People want to know!
(Note: If you use Safari, you may need to allow Third-party cookies to be able to see the survey below.
To do this: Safari > Preferences…> Security > Accept Cookies: Always (or only from sites I visit).)
If all of that doesn’t work, or you want to vote on your iPhone/iPad, please try this link.
Hi Steve,
I found some questions in the survey hard to answer, particularly who you change channels to avoid, as I wanted to tick almost all of them. Perhaps in the future you could create a survey which graded the annoyance factor of said celebrity, ie does this person A) Annoy you, B) make you vomit or C)make you want to stab yourself in the eye?
Just a suggestion
Hi Jo – thanks for voting. Everyone’s a critic, huh? 😉
I’ve tried clicking on everything on this page. Is there anyway you can actually vote here???? Or is it just one big promo page for a voting system that doesn’t actually exist?
Hi Joyce – if you’re not seeing a big Molkies statuette right down the bottom then you’ll need to click on the link that’s the last thing in the article… or click https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2014Molkies.
Seriously, how can a web page be so badly designed? There are at least three buttons at the top that read: Vote now for the 2014 Molkies, one even highlighted in RED on the right corner. None of them allow you to vote. Then the page is filled with sponsors and promo things. Is voting possible?
Hi Joyce – The link I gave you in the comment above will allow you to vote (I use an external survey website to hold the voting which I embed in this post but if you can’t see it then you need to click on the link to jump out to do vote). Naturally I’m going to promote the sponsors as they’ve given me prizes to giveaway as part of the voting. Beyond that I’m no coder, just an innocent little head in a TV. I’m lucky to have arms.
Dear Steve,
I get the feeling your t.v. doesn’t pick up the ABC or SBS. Nobody I know would EVER miss Rake, or the Blake Mysteries, or Q & A. Or on SBS, Who Do You Think You Are? or the amazing Viking archaeology or the Viking Drama. Are we all living in a parallel universe……….and you are somewhere else altogether?
Hi Joyce – Glad to see you’ve been able to vote. As to the nominations they’re shortlisted to the top 5 nominated (they’re all crowd-sourced) – lots of other programs were nominated but didn’t get enough votes to make it into the categories. If you’d nominated perhaps it may have helped! I agree that Rake is excellent (though this season’s finale coming on Sunday night is weak compared to the rest of the season), I’ve loved both series of the Doctor Blake Mysteries and am way ahead on Vikings S02. Sadly though as you’d well know they don’t get the ratings of some of the other lesser programs on free-to-air TV. Such is life.
