Week 13 sees us just far enough into the ratings year to start trend spotting (and ask what really did happen with all these shows we were promised in the glitzy new year promos?). It also opens the door for the start of some shows we’ve been missing or long promo’d – welcome Winners and Losers and Hungry Beast season 3. Most importantly, Survivor: Redemption Island has found a home! Ahh, some shows just ease the pain…

There’s just so much going on. Conviction Kitchen is continuing to grow an audience (as well it should), and delivering strongly for Ch7 on Monday night’s off the back of the 2nd highest rating show at the moment in My Kitchen Rules. I suspect that CK is a one hit wonder – the charm won’t last to a second series, if considered by the Network.

As I’ve shouted about previously, Survivor: Redemption Island has found a home on GO! on Tuesday nights. Here’s hoping the network catches us up with the US as we’re at leats 5 episodes behind now, and to be only 4 days (as opposed to 4 weeks) behind would be ideal. Additionally, it would allow for the enjoyment of show host Jeff Probst live tweeting the episode as it airs in America in a much less spoilerific way.

After what seems like nearly a year of sizzle, Winners and Losers premiere’s on Tuesday for Ch7. The first ep is brilliant, and sets up the series for one hell of a ride. It may not appeal to the entire Packed to the Rafters audience (which, for now, it’s replacing) but it will garner a strong following and land it’s own timeslot to continue Ch7’s dominance for now. To be fair, there’s no Aussie drama of note to put against it. Underbelly and Rescue and Offspring are coming, though.

Contrary to the advice in the paper and TV Guide today, Big Bang Theory is continuing at 7pm for Ch9 in Queensland (as opposed to Two and a Half Men in all the other states). This is great, as BBT is making good in-roads on the Home and Away audience at 7pm – certainly showing the rest of the 9 Network what should be on at 7pm nationally.

vs TaaHM still going strong
