Now that it’s Week 46, we’ve only 3 weeks of television ratings to go, so we’re starting to see things wind up – especially on the ABC. Underbelly Razor finishes tonight after an up and down season, and Tuesday night sees a cracking finale episode of The Joy Of Sets. The upside of shows ending and the non-ratings period falling upon us does mean a rise in movies being programmed onto the primary channels (as much as the digital multi-channels already deliver us endless films). Settle in – if you don’t like cricket, golf, tennis or It’s A Knockout, there’s not going to be too much new programming over the Christmas/New Year period. Perhaps it’s a chance to take up a hobby?

The final Joy Of Sets on Tuesday night is an excellent episode. One that belies the late night timeslot it’s been handed.
Good News World has become somewhat of a surprise, delivering solid sketch comedy for Ch10, but also buried at 10:30pm Monday night.
Well you lost me when you filed Rush in the Do Not Bother category. Best police drama ever made in this country, even though the ratings don’t reflect this. Probably too good for the masses, they might have to actually concentrate on something!
For mine, Rush has become too convoluted and self-serving. That this season will be its last is indicative of the popularity of the show. A shame for sure as Aussie drama is something to be supported.
