Here’s your chance – you wanna be on Big Brother, you now know what you need to do. From the press release:

One of Channel Nine Queensland’s most popular programs is back! Big Brother is ready to cast his all-seeing eye over Australia again and his tour for 2013 has been planned with one thing in mind – leave no stone unturned.

Following the success of last year’s audition tour for Housemates, Big Brother will once again be touring the country to give everyone a chance to have face-time with the producers.

Those wanting to audition for Big Brother will need to register online in advance at www.bigbrother.com.au. To accommodate those who work business hours, this year Big Brother has extended hours into the evening for weekday auditions.

VIDEO AUDITIONS
This year, for those who live more than 500km from any audition venue, Big Brother extends an invitation to audition via video application only. Successful remote applicants will have travel expenses covered in the second phase of the audition process.

FAST-TRACK YOUR WAY THROUGH THE AUDITIONS
As an additional incentive for people wanting to give themselves the best possible shot at becoming a Housemate in 2013, Big Brother is setting a challenge: From your own Diary Room at home (be it in a paddock, the bathroom or kitchen) send a video that starts “Hello Big Brother” and explains why you will be the perfect housemate for the 2013 season of the show. Every video will be watched, yet only a handful of fast track entries will be granted, which for the lucky few means no lining up and straight into a face-to-face audition.

Big Brother reassures that not being fast-tracked does not mean an unsuccessful application. Everyone serious about Big Brother should attend the audition day and show producers why they would make a great Housemate.

Big Brother Executive Producer, Alex Mavroidakis, said: “The most important ingredient in a successful Big Brother is always the Housemates. In 2012, we found some amazing characters. And this year we have tweaked the process to ensure anyone in the country, no matter where they live, can be part of Big Brother 2013.”

Karen Dewey, Nine Network’s Head of Factual and Reality, said: “If Housemates think they know what to expect they should think again. Big Brother is completely changing the house and adding new rules.”

To apply for Big Brother, Housemates need only one magic quality … the ability to embrace the experience. No skills or qualifications are needed. You don’t have to cook, you don’t need to renovate, and you don’t need to sing or dance. All you need to be is yourself.
