“So *THAT’S* where Kate Ritchie’s been!!?!”* It’s a delicious premise that ultimately throws what is supposed to be the most magical and well-planned day of a woman’s life into the hand of her partner. Will he remember what she likes when it comes to stationery? Will he choose the dress of her dreams? Will Aunty Peg be sat next to Cousin Freda, who she’s been a-feudin’ with for nearly 20 years now? It’s a minefield of problems for any prospective groom.
From the press release:
Network Ten and Endemol Southern Star are delighted to announce that Australian television darling and double Gold Logie winner, Kate Ritchie, will present TEN’s new reality entertainment series Don’t Tell The Bride.
With two years of wedded bliss under her belt, and as one of the country’s most popular actresses and entertainers, Kate is the perfect choice for Don’t Tell The Bride and we have no doubt she’ll have some laughs along the way about our couples’ wedding choices. Don’t Tell the Bride features eager couples in the lead-up to their big day, with one important twist.
The bride and groom are separated for the three weeks leading up to the nuptials and all the key decisions are left in the hands of the groom. With no help from his fiancĂ©e, he must plan the entire wedding, from the invitations to the bridesmaids’ dresses, the reception to the cake. The bride will not see the invitation until it arrives in the mail. She will try on her dress just before she walks down the aisle. She will see the reception for the first time with the other guests.
Kate Ritchie said: “I’m thrilled to be part of a show that’s a cheeky take on one of life’s most memorable milestones. It’s going to be a great deal of fun, maybe not for the brides, but certainly for the rest of us!”
Coming soon to TEN, Don’t Tell The Bride promises tantrums and tears of joy before the “big day” is done. Check out the official Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/DontTellTheBrideAustralia
