It’s a very fun two-part series that sees Do return to his homeland to journey from south to north and rediscover the land of his birth in a funny, cheeky and very personal way. Part of the story is Anh seeking to discover what his life may have been had his family not escaped war and moved to Australia when he was a small child.

The Refugee convention met at Geneva on July 28, 1951 confirmed the refugee is stateless, couldn’t return to homeland and even though contact to its embassy. After Vietnam war ended on April 30, 1975, the UNHCR wrongly approved the asylum seeker and Vietcong espionage agent whose resettled in the western countries likely US, Europe, Australia, Canada…so every year there are more than 500,000 Vietnamese refugee turned asylum seeker have returned safe to where they escaped to find freedom and claimed the dangerous situation in their own country. The wrong refugee provided to Vietcong dictatorial more than $ 10 billion USD per year, so Vietcong remains the inhuman regime longer. The false refugee claimants have came back safe, doing business, sexual finder, drug trafficker and plant the Marijuana in US, Europe, Australia…
A clown Anh Do and chef Luke Nguyen have came back safe to where they fled and doing the Television shows. They could do the business, but every time, Anh Do and Luke Nguyen referred the red flag, Ho Chi Minh picture, those dug up the sorrow of more than 4 million Vietnamese refugee overseas. They are not refugee, but the asylum seeker, false declared to UN, UNHCR and the adopted country likely Australia. Recently in US, the Vietnamese public Television, Washington Metro Area ( Fairfax) released the show of a refugee man, names DINH HUNG, who was deported by Vietcong regime when just came to Vietnam airport Tan Son Nhat, he came back with the right reason, his aging mother being serious illness, he wants to see his mother at the last time. But Anh Do and Luke Nguyen have came back safe many time and doing successful business.
Myself, I resettled anew life in Australia since 1983, I have never came back to where I escaped. In 1995 and 1996, I tried to sponsor my mother ( now she is 87 year old) with just the visitor to Australia, but Vietcong stopped.
On France, the OFRA ( Office Francais de Protection des refugies et Apatrice) applied the Geneva convention, they investigated the period from 1988 to 2000, there were 22,417 Vietnamese refugees came back safe to Vietnam, so the OFPRA cancelled the social benefit, health care, job search…
I am as representative of Vietnamese refugee, we feel to be tortured by the shows of Anh Do on the television of Channel 7. We feel angry while seeing the red flag and Ho Chi Minh protrait, his mausoleum at Hanoi….please do not dig up the sorrow of Vietcong victim..
