A slow Friday night means only Seven News (1st – 1,030,000) pulled more than one million viewers, but again good to see Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (5th – 803,000) as the highest non-News program for the night and also winning it’s timeslot. Seven’s AFL: Friday Night Football (7th – 745,000) – SYD/BNE on 7mate (107th – 62,000) – and Nine’s Live Friday Night Football (11th – 631,000) – MEL/ADL/PER on GEM (DNR) – did well considering their limited primary channel markets. It’s a brave new world this winter, and finally some sense is being brought to broadcast national sports into lesser-interested markets. It does mean that the traditional Friday stalwart of Better Homes and Gardens (20th – 414,000) didn’t rate as highly but then the same ep aired 2 days earlier in AFL states. The first Friday night Young Talent Time (20th – 407,000) delivered lower results than when it was on Sunday night – down by 200,000.
