Primary Channels
Monday night continues to roll on as the night of My Kitchen Rules. Lots of people are connecting with the personalities, and loving the drama (a little too much drama, personally). Bones benefits from the lead-in, but will be moved to allow Conviction Kitchen into 8:30pm next week – how will that stack up?! Seeing the two shows back to back could mean death for one of the shows. Not a bad night for the first ep of This Is Your Life featuring Deborra-Lee Furness, but the Oscars didn’t shine as brightly as previous airings (26th for the night). Are we now getting all our info beforehand and/or saw the live airing so we don’t care? It does run very late. Gless a shade over 900K, making it 2nd for the slot but a decent distance from first. At this point, anything above 800K is looking good, anything over 1m is doing something special.
Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: Today Tonight – Ch7
7:00pm: Home and Away – Ch7
7:30pm: My Kitchen Rules – Ch7
8:30pm: Bones – Ch7
9:30pm: Brothers and Sisters – Ch7
Did someone say Ch7 nightly win?
Digital Multi-channels
Big numbers for the Monday night line up for 7Two in Heartbeat & Jonathan Creek – both above 300K, and offering an end result 5.1% share to the channel. Similarly strong numbers for 7mate (4.0%) levelled it for second, dropping back to Eleven (3.5%) in third. As expected, it was Neighbours that won the digital multi night.
No guesses that, with these figures, the 7 Network won overall – by nearly 6.5% on the 9 Network (who really need to dig deep and deliver some strong programming, and soon).
