A spectacular start for MasterChef All Stars (1st – 1,256,000) – which bodes well for Ch10 and badly for Ch9 as the Olympics approach for the key 7pm timeslot. Not great news for Ch9’s Olympic preview Let The Games Begin (23rd – 486,000), running a distant fourth at 7pm – things can only improve! Hamish and Andy’s Euro Gap Year (3rd – 1,118,000) finished up nicely with a special “Pre-Opening Ceremony” with a lot of the Australian team as audience, harking back to the good old days of Roy & HG’s The Dream. Absolutely Fabulous: Olympic Dream (14th – 667,000) & Paper Giants (29th – 340,000) did OK but not great business for the ABC (admittedly the latter is a repeat).
