Primary Channels

Huge numbers for the second Sunday night of The Block, even eclipsing MasterChef Australia. Great Migrations not delivering the business Channel 7 would have hoped for, but new eps of Bones & Castle making up for it. The Renovators start with not as much oomph as Channel 10 will have hoped for, but ratings for it likely to build once it moves into it’s proper spot. Midsomer Murders picked up the “we don’t like DIY or Australian telemovies market” for a big 8:30pm win. Massive numbers for SBS one for the final stage of Tour de France 2011 – and congratulations Cadel Evans.

Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Nine News – Ch9
6:30pm: The Block – Ch9
7:30pm: MasterChef Australia – Ch10
8:30pm: Midsomer Murders – ABC1
9:30pm: Castle – Ch7

A strong early evening delivers a win to Channel 9 (20.1%), just pipping Channel 7 (19.6%) and beating Channel 10 (16.7%).

Digital Multi-channels

ONE and GO! tied for the digital multi win, and a stong Eleven significantly boosted the 10 Network’s share for the night – but not enough to be the 9 Network who won on consolidated figures across all channels.
