It’s the start of things to come. The smell of new programming and the implementation of changes. The challenges start to flow thick and fast… Nine News (1st – 1,501,000) wins nationally but in Brisbane where the new 6pm team took over they won by the slimmest of margins [Seven News BNE (272,000) vs Nine News BNE (271,000)]. The first episode of MasterChef The Professionals (3rd – 1,165,000) wins it’s timeslot and offers Ch10 a little comfort as they prep for the big competition to start next week. The Cricket continues to suffer… if it’s not poor performances, it’s rain screwing up the play. Seven’s Tennis: 2013 Aust Open – Night 7 (5th – 893,000) & Seven’s Tennis: 2013 Aust Open – Night 7 – Late (6th – 882,000) manage to hold court as the Djokovic/Wawrinka game goes for over five hours (Ch7 reporting the coverage peaked at 1.5m viewers).

Why the change to 7 news format? in wide bay QLD we have the local presenters doing the local news and weather. Then the SAME people doing the national news and weather. NOT HAPPY JAN.
Chris
Hi Chris – Are 7 Qld making the local people repeat the national news and not taking 7 News Brisbane for the second half hour?
