MasterChef Australia (Elimination: 3rd – 1,039,000 ; Masterclass: 14th – 726,000) drops a double episode and wins 7:30pm and does reasonably at 8:30pm. Carlotta (10th – 811,000) starts out as good business for the ABC but tapers and the following program doesn’t lift it enough to make it win both hour timeslots. The Checkout (7th – 876,000) continues to bring strong figures to the ABC at 8pm. The 2am 2014 FIFA World Cup: AUS v NED (20th – 571,000) game does very well and left more than a few heads taken out with a bout of “Postecogflu”.
