Ch9’s first night without The Voice, and didn’t they miss it. Australia’s Got Talent (1st – 1,392,000) made a rise to the top, but nowhere near the 1.5-1.8m it regularly pulled last season. Celebrity Apprentice Australia (Challenge 10th – 859,000; Boardroom 9th – 908,000) had a softer debut than hoped, but reasonable considering the audience would be fatigued with the onslaught of new programming. Celeb Apprentice really needs to bump up to 1m at least to pay it’s way, but it’s early days yet – it has an unchallenged run tonight (reasonably speaking).

The Block (5th – 1,133,000) continued it’s winning ways at 7pm, though the inclusion of “Molly’s first words” helped Seven News (2nd – 1,361,000) and Today Tonight (3rd – 1,270,000) to wins they’ve not had all week. Offspring (13th – 728,000) did OK on launch but got lost in the noise, and the fact that Titanic (14th – 720,000) had been held onto for too long hurt it’s ratings chances (plus aren’t we all over the Titanic now?).
