The cricket helped make it a big night for Channel 9 again. The hardest thing in working out which show won timeslots nationally is taking into account that some shows didn’t air in some markets yet still placed well – e.g. CSI (7th – 738,000) didn’t air in BNE or PER. The Graham Norton Show (10th – 455,000) debuted with OK figures for Ch10, though the inclusion of ads did make the biggest stir (what were people expecting on a commercial network though?!). We’re all suckers for a classic movie, allowing National Lampoon’s Vacation to win the digital multi-channel race.

Channel 9 won the night (27.2%), followed by Channel 7 (14.5%), Channel 10 (13.4%) & ABC1 (9.6%).
