Primary Channels
Thursday isn’t the ratings carrier it used to be and the programming reflects that. Not too much special, the return of some shows. Ultimately only 3 shows above 1m and they were all news/current affairs. Highest non-news program was Biggest Loser: Families which helped Ch10 a lot, other wise it was the usual Ch7 vs Ch9 struggle. CSI with 2 new eps, but didn’t really rate strongly (although 700-800K isn’t too bad). Breakfast TV has settled down again a little with both Sunrise and The Today Show returning to normal figures, but one suspects both are ready to pounce on the next disaster. The East Coast Capitals vs National figures tell a remarkably different story for who won what… but that’s for later analysis. The figures for the premiere of Zumbo were underwhelming, but not too much can be expected from very little promo from SBS one.
Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: Today Tonight – Ch9
7:00pm: Home and Away – Ch
7:30pm: Biggest Loser: Families – Ch10
8:30pm: Grey’s Anatomy – Ch7
9:30pm: CSI (Ep2) – Ch9
A win to Channel 7 nationally for the primary channel figures, Ch9 close, Ch10 a distant third.
Digital Multi-channels
Although not as strongly as other Thursdays, Neighbours top out the list for the digital multi-channels again. With 5 shows in the Top14 Eleven is proving to be quite a contender coming a very close 2nd to GO! tonight and almost always in the Top3 channels. Strong figures from both 7Two and 7mate helped Channel 7 to a win for consolidated viewers.
