Farewell from the primary channels, Excess Baggage – we hardly knew ye. My Kitchen Rules (1st – 1,560,000) on the other hand – pretty much everyone knows you. Another big night for Channel 7 where anyuthing that follows MKR turns to gold too (though not as much as usually). Grey’s Anatomy (8th – 847,000) return was soft, but it still beat out CSI (10th – 686,000) and The Straits (17th – 542,000). The Biggest Loser Australia (11th – 679,000) down on last night proving we prefer seeing the fatties face temptation than actually exercise. Only three shows above one million (two of them news) and a further 5 shows above 800,000. Neighbours still the highest rating show on the digital multi-channels but still not breaking 300,000. The biggest news is possibly that A Current Affair (5th – 984,000) beat Today Tonight (7th – 926,000) for the 6:30pm timeslot. Almost unprecendented.
Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: A Current Affair – Ch9
7:00pm: Home and Away – Ch7
7:30pm: My Kitchen Rules – Ch7
8:30pm: Grey’s Anatomy – Ch7
9:30pm: Desperate Housewives – Ch7
Channel 7 won the night (24.9%), followed by Channel 9 (17.7%), Channel 10 (12.2%) & ABC1 (10.6%).
It bothers me that ACA and Today Tonight rate so high.
It also explains an awful lot about the general public.
Go Big Bang Theory! <3
I agree, however unless you just discovered TBBT then you surley are not fooled by the
egomaniacal Chuck and his Vanity cards. Just look what he did to 2½ Men (guessing by the look of the promo’s)
