A massive night for all concerned with Nine’s Flood Relief Appeal – Australia Unites. Tonnes of money was raised, and a good time was had by most. Certainly by me (I was running around the call centre tweeting and taking shots). A massive congratulations to Channel 9 for arranging it swiftly and running with it despite some technical glitches. They ended up running it almost 2 hours overtime to ensure that people were still aware that their calls could be taken… a superb effort. To account for the scheduling, the ratings for The Mentalist need to be included in the Appeal numbers as that show never aired.
For those that aren’t Tennis fans out there… only a couple of weeks of the Australian Open to go, and you’re home free again. Finally.
