No cricket, so Seven News (1st – 974,000) gets the upper hand on Nine News (2nd – 888,000). Even a repeat of Doc Martin (4th – 797,000) draws some of the strongest viewer numbers for the night, along with the Gardening Australia (10th – 488,000)/ABC News (3rd – 865,000) combo. Otherwise it was James Bond night on Ch7 to great effect.
