There’s a lot that can happen when people screw with “our Kylie” so casting her in the upcoming bio series on INXS was going to be key (after all, it’s pretty much her public coming-of-age). Shine Australia and Channel 7 have announced 2012 X Factor winner Samantha Jade will debut as the Singing Budgie, joining Georgina Haig as Paula Yates and Mallory Jansen as Helena Christensen. Just as well the other boys in the band didn’t really have a love life.

In amazing sizzle matching the quality of the entire first season on Wentworth, as the credits rolled on the final episode Foxtel/Freemantle Media Australia ran the following promo in preparation of season two (sadly coming so far away in 2014). No, it’s not a promo for a Spinal Tap album.

With so many big things coming for them in the second half of 2013, the best thing Ten could do is reset and re-launch themselves on the market – which is exactly what they’re planning to do. So many things? They’ve just announced both Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist will be joining the commentary box for the Big Bash in 2014; two new shows announced in the last week (both featuring Tommy Little) in A League Of Their Own and This Week Live (including Meshel Laurie, Tom Gleeson and Dave Thornton too); and of course the oft-sizzled new Breakfast and Mornings offerings.
In what will either be a touch of genius or disaster of Qantas Luxury proportions, after announcing Ita Buttrose and Joe Hildebrand would be 2/5 of the hosting team Ten Mornings are looking for a show name and have opted to crowd source it:
