Tonight we finally get to see MasterChef The Professionals kick off, and it’s a stellar episode with which to start the series. Well worth the viewing investment three nights a week (though it’ll have competition starting next week).
The ever enjoyable Louis Theroux returns with a follow-up doco Louis Theroux: Twilight of the Porn Stars on Monday which, if nothing else, highlights the desperate state of those involved in the porn industry. No bright lights and big success stories here.

It’s an hour-long sponsorship by the Australian Meat and Livestock association, but The Australia Day Showdown Special: You Can Never Be Too Australian on Saturday should be a lot of fun – and given host Charlie Pickering and the calibre of comedians involved in the debate (Kitty Flanagan, Meshel Laurie, Tom Gleeson, Akmal, Denise Scott & Lawrence Mooney) good Australian content is good Australian content. Funnily enough it also features a special segment from Sam Kekovich (no surprises there). To maintain the Australiana theme it’s followed by Baz Lurhmann’s Australia. Crikey.
