While it may reek of desperation to bring some joy to a diminishing Saturday night line up, Channel 10 have announced the move of the latest season of The Simpsons and season two of The Glee Project from Eleven. It should help improve the poor performance of their early evening Saturday schedule within key demographics at least. And it’s always good to have The Simpsons back on Ten. From the press release:
Spend your Saturday nights with a host of celebrities as TEN turns on the star power with the help of some very special guests from Saturday 16 June.
Kicking the night off at 6:00pm with a distinguished hint of yellow is the latest season of The Simpsons which sees a number of familiar faces getting ‘Simpsonified’. With guests including Lady Gaga, Julian Assange, Gordon Ramsay, Andy Garcia, Glenn Close and Glee’s Jane Lynch, there’s no shortage of stars willing to be immortalised in this iconic series.
And from yellow, to pure gold. At 6:30pm, The Glee Project returns for a 2nd season to discover future stars of Glee (double episode from June 23). And who better to help than the current crop! Lending their experience and expertise to this year’s hopeful Gleeks will be Lea Michele (Rachel Berry), Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson) and Naya Rivera (Santana Lopez).
Top off your star studded night at 8:30pm with a generous helping of The Graham Norton Show who never has any trouble attracting today’s biggest names. Coming straight from the UK to our Saturday nights, join the likes of Madonna, Cameron Diaz, Tom Jones, Kirsten Stewart, Rihanna and Katy Perry as Graham puts them through their paces in his own distinctively hilarious way.
Get ready for your Saturday nights to sparkle as the stars come out to play!
