SteveMolk & Josh also tease out one of the most annoying issues on TV today – why do shows that are pre-recorded/edited run late in the schedule? MOLK SMASH! We started a discussion about second screen apps (if you watched the Australian Open this year, you may have heard of one) and there’s the ever popular EXCESS BAGGAGE Update! So much TV, so little sensibility applied.

Just thought I’d clarify what is happening with Better Homes and Gardens – after hearing it mentioned on the podcast.
In AFL states, Better Homes & Gardens will air on Thursday nights at 7.30pm, with AFL live on Seven on Friday nights. Hard to say when exactly that will start as the first week of AFL has a Thursday and Friday game on March 29 and March 30. That’ll be a huge week for Seven, with MKR finishing Wed March 28. The floowing week is Easter.
In non-AFL states, Better Homes & Gardens will remain on Fridays at 7.30pm, with AFL live on 7mate on Friday nights.
By the way, I WAS actually interested to hear what was happening with Excess Baggage – especially in terms of making the series shorter. Hit a new low last night – 83,000.
I seriously think GO! would have been better off airing Excess Baggage at a different time so as not to clash with either Biggest Loser or MKR. 6.30-7.30 is a bad time to air on GO!. Would have been better at a later time than all the repeats GO! play.
Thanks Andrew – after checking the media kit and clarifying with Ch7 Publicity in Qld, it seems that AFL is Live/Near Live on Ch7 for Vic/Tas/SA/WA, and same on 7mate for NSW/Qld. Clearly there’s no AFL fans in NT(!). I pity the northern AFL supporter that doesn’t have digital or subscription TV.
I actually noticed Excess Baggage on Go at 4pm the other day…not sure which ep. etc as I have never watched it…..which I guess speaks volumes in itself.
