Primary Channels
Hello Winners and Losers – a welcome addition for Ch7 in a long list of already dominant programming (just don’t mention a 30 minute “episode 3” followed by a surprise Cougar Town). It was a big night for Ch7, leaving the rest of the commercial networks in their wake – Ch9 could only just scrape their News over 1m and into 7th place . Top Gear is not rating like it used to. Who needs another 20 to 1 anythings? Time for some programmatical soul searching, and fast.
Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: Today Tonight – Ch7
7:00pm: Home and Away – Ch7
7:30pm: My Kitchen Rules – Ch7
8:30pm: Winners and Losers – Ch7
9:30pm: Winners and Losers – Ch7
Tuesday nights are no longer a case of who won; it’s now Channel 7 by how much (in this case, 9.1% ahead of Ch10, 10.4% ahead of Ch9).
Digital Multi-channels
Survivor: Redemption Island, second to Neighbours, but helped GO! to a convincing win over the other digital multis. Clearly a good chunk of 7Two’s demographic were over on Ch7 watching programs there, as it was a distant 4th when usually it’s first (or close to).
It wasn’t enough – the 7 Network won the night (10.2% ahead of the 9 Network).
