After a massive day of Cricket, culminating in Australia winning the first test in the third session, it was always going to be a big day for Nine. As it stands they picked up every thing from 6pm-8:30pm very strongly, with 60 Minutes (1st – 1,380,000) leading the way with Liz Hayes’s Interview with Michael Jackson’s Doctor. Even David Attenborough’s Secrets of Wild India (3rd – 1,149,000) beat out Sunday Night (5th – 1,111,000) every so slightly. Ten’s “season finale” of Elementary (15th – 707,000) performs OK but it had serious competition with the first of the two part season finale of Bones (12th – 746,000) and the late repeat of Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor (9th – 922,000) followed by An Adventure in Space and Time (17th – 633,000). Have You Been Paying Attention (30th – 294,000) not drawing great numbers.
