News and Current Affairs the big winners again, with Seven News (1st – 1,050,000) taking top honours closely followed by Nine News (2nd – 925,000). Sets a very high ratings bar for the newly annouced 6pm start for The Project. Ch7’s “Shark night” didn’t work out quite how they’d planned it, with it being beaten by repeats across all the other channels though their strong lead into the night nailed the win for them. The Neighbours demographic is still very clearly on holidays/not in charge of the remote yet as it languished in 5th place overall with 215,000 when it normally rates 300,000 plus. The Twenty20 Cricket: Big Bash League was again a success for Fox Sports 2, coming in as the number one program again.
