A big Friday for Footy – at least for AFL in Melbourne, with over 600,000 people in the southern capital alone tuning in to Seven’s AFL: Friday Night Football Finals (2nd – 981,000). Rugby League Final Series QF1 (6th – 856,000) did almost as well with one less capital to boot. Big Brother (7th – 762,000) rounded out a softer week again coming second to ABC News (5th – 906,000). A big national win for Nine News (1st – 1,108,000) and A Current Affair (3rd – 981,000) on Friday likely an effect of the AFL coverage on Ch7’s normal dominance for their two NewCAFF shows.

Gee whiz Ch Ten are really in the doldrums. I think they need a fee stay home mums, pensioners and a couple of teens thrown in for good measure to sort out some programming. We alllllll know what the viewers want as those at the helm surely do not!
