Primary Channels
More proof that Wednesday night is now the night for watching TV with 9 shows over 1m viewers, 3 of them returning series/shows. Everybody has something to watch. If you (reasonably) consider more than 800K as a good result, then you can add in another 4 shows that people had to watch last night. MasterChef Australia topped the list, closely followed by Australia’s Got Talent. It will be hard to see the former get anything below 1m for the life of the series this year, which would be unprecedented. Maybe the Friday night MasterClasses will drop, but all others likely to remain big. Good luck everyone else. Maybe that’s why Channel 9 have scheduled The Block as 5 nights a week at 7pm?
Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: Today Tonight – Ch7
7:00pm: ABC News – ABC!
7:30pm: MasterChef Australia – Ch10
8:30pm: Criminal Minds – Ch7
9:30pm: BIG – Extreme Makeover – Ch9
Channel 7 won the night, with Channel 10 pipping Channel 9 by 0.2% for second.
Digital Multi-channels
A tough battle over on the digital multichannels. Neighbours took out the top spot as usual, however by a stronger amount than usual. 7Two won the night by 0.1% on 7mate and Eleven, with a growing share for One (but still well last at the moment). The 7 Network won the night ahead of the Ten Network and 9 Network respectively.
