Network Ten will roll out a big summer program schedule for TEN, ELEVEN and ONE, kicking off on the first day of summer, December 1.
With cricket, fast-tracked US programs, premiere family movies, Jamie Oliver Christmas specials and a continuing quiz show, TEN is set to provide summer entertainment for the whole family.
From December 20, TEN will exclusively broadcast live, in prime time and on free-to-air television for the first time, the KFC T20 Big Bash League.
Featuring an outstanding commentary team including cricket legends Ricky Ponting, Sir Vivian Richards, Adam Gilchrist, Damien Fleming and Mark Waugh, TEN’s coverage will be hosted by Mel McLaughlin and Mark Howard.
The opening weekend of the KFC T20 Big Bash League will see the Melbourne Stars take on the Melbourne Renegades, the Sydney 6’ers verses the Sydney Thunder, the Hobart Hurricanes challenge the Adelaide Strikers and the Brisbane Heat go up against the Perth Scorchers.
The KFC T20 Big Bash League runs throughout the summer, culminating in the live final on February 7.
From December 1, popular US programs Homeland and Sleepy Hollow will continue to be fast-tracked on Monday and Tuesday nights.
Australia’s least-rich quiz show Have You Been Paying Attention?, hosted by Tom Gleisner, will continue on Sunday nights at 7pm.
Starring some of the most attentive minds in the country, Have You Been Paying Attention? is a fast-paced, funny look at international affairs, politics, sport and entertainment news and will test just how well the contestants have been paying attention.
The Project, hosted by Carrie Bickmore, Charlie Pickering and Dave Hughes, will continue weeknights at 6.30pm with regular panellists Steve Price, Dr Andrew Rochford, Pete Helliar and Lehmo dissecting, digesting and reconstructing the day’s news.
TEN will bring viewers premiere movies on Sunday and Wednesday nights, including Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Kung Fu Panda 2 and Rango.
Family favourites The Simpsons, Modern Family, New Girl, Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals and The Living Room will also appear on TEN, along with Blue Bloods, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Law & Order: SVU and Wonderland.
TEN will also broadcast two Christmas specials, Jamie’s Best Ever Christmas, which brings together Jamie Oliver’s all-time classic Christmas recipes, and Jamie’s Christmas With Bells On, which provides an inspiring collection of traditional Christmas classics, alongside new ideas and fantastic party food.
TEN’s new breakfast and morning television line-up – consisting of TEN Eyewitness News Early, Wake Up, Studio 10 and TEN Eyewitness News Morning – will also continue throughout summer.
American Idol, American Horror Story: Coven, Supernatural and Glee are just some of the US programs that will be fast-tracked on ELEVEN.
Boasting new episodes of Ben and Kate, Fresh Meat, How To Live With Your Parents For The Rest Of Your Life, King of the Nerds and 1600 Penn, ELEVEN’s summer program schedule will also feature Dancing On Ice UK, Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model Series 9 and the original series of Beverly Hills 90210.
ONE will bring viewers a variety of major sporting events and new programs over summer.
NBL will continue on ONE and the 2014 BHP Billiton Aquatic Super Series will see the Australian Swim Team including World Champions Cate Campbell, Christian Sprenger and James Magnussen, take on the might of Brazil, China, Japan and South Africa. It will be broadcast live from Perth.
New episodes of Sons of Anarchy, Burn Notice, Vegas, Lights Out and Bellator MMA will also be peppered throughout ONE’s summer program schedule, as well as Steven Segal’s movie series titled True Justice.
The summer schedule will commence on TEN, ELEVEN and ONE from Sunday, December 1.
