It’s that time of the week when we change gears, and nightly ratings winners.
A Current Affair (645,000) lands as Nine’s biggest for the night, and coupled with their news and following programming was enough to take the primary channel win.
BNE/SYD (primary + multichannel figures):
The footy double of NRL (South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Melbourne Storm) (389,000) and Thursday Night Knock-Off (125,000), honestly, disappointed.
MEL/ADL/PER (primary channel figures):
Mega Zoo (186,000), rpt Emergency (142,000), and New Amsterdam (64,000) filled gaps in the non-NRL states.
Nine first in primary (18.8%) and second in network (26.5%) rankings.
A triple ep of Home & Away (507,000) lead Seven’s night as their best, and lands them second in the 7:30pm timeslot (averaged). Nobody really cared about Ramsay’s 24 Hours To Hell And Back (135,000) or The Clown and the Candyman (68,000), though they did slide about in the schedule depending on the state so that The Front Bar (314,000) could go earlier or later in AFL-dominated markets.
Seven just second in primary (18.3%) and and first in network (27.9%) rankings.
The Project (293,000 6:30pm; 436,000 7pm) down from other eps this week, and while it wasn’t the lowest numbers for MasterChef Australia (522,000; 308,000) this week, it was enough to win the slot, with over half hanging around for the MasterClass. New and rpt Law & Order: SVU (150,000; 118,000) round out 10’s night.
10 third in both primary (13.1%) and network (20.7%) rankings.
7:30 (498,000) is the ABC’s best for the night, closely followed by Back Roads (430,000), landing it third in the timeslot. Q+A (256,000) continues to struggle on Thursday nights, recording one of its lowest figures this year. Trump Takes On The World (160,000) was a thing.
ABC fourth in both primary (11.4%) and network (16.7%) rankings.
