Melbourne based sports journalist and presenter Clint Stanaway is firming as the likely replacement for the departing Ben Fordham on The Today Show.
This website has learned Stanaway moved out of his Melbourne apartment this week and is relocating to Sydney where he will have an increased profile on The Today Show in preparation for the transition at the end of this year.
The move will see Stanaway continue to commute between the two cities as he fulfills his roles for the network on The Weekend Today Show and sports presenter on Nine News in Melbourne.
Stanaway’s profile has been on the rise recently after competing in the celebrity Grand Prix and being connected with 2013 Miss Universe Australia winner Olivia Wells.
Ben Fordham made the announcement in early March that he would depart The Today Show at the end of this year when his contract expires to focus on his Sydney radio career. Since making the announcement Fordham has been absent from the breakfast show on several occasions leading to speculation that a transition could occur sooner than expected.
