New Girl returns to Ten’s schedule after an extended absence with the eight episode of Season 2, this episode aired in the US almost 12 months ago.
Synopsis:
When Jess learns a friend is pregnant, both she and Cece begin a race against
their ticking biological clocks. Jess gets paranoid, stating: “Who’s gonna lay
a flag down on this sweet, sweet continent?” Cue all the flatmates arguing
over who should do the honour of impregnating her.
With the girls in full panic mode, Schmidt’s thoughts turn to baby-making
as well, but without the “baby” part, and he pays a visit to Jess’ lesbian,
gynaecologist friend for some advice on how to better please his boss. Yes, it
is as weird as it sounds.
Meanwhile, Nick decides the reason for his zombie novel writer’s block
is that he lacks the type of real-life adventure experienced by Ernest
Hemingway: “Man, I gotta run with the bulls. I gotta kill a man with my bare
hands after making sweet love to him and then sleep on the warm belly of
his horse. I gotta eat my way out of a sandwich house.” Later in the episode
we learn that this “experience” means getting drunk at the zoo in broad
daylight.
