Ed Sheeran to perform at 56th Logie Awards

His breakthrough debut album, +, reached number one in five countries and went four times platinum in Australia. Now, it is with great excitement that TV WEEK presents ED SHEERAN and the premiere AUSTRALIAN performance of his brand-new single, “Sing”, at the Australian television industry’s night of nights, the 56th TV WEEK LOGIE AWARDS!  

ED SHEERAN first caught the attention of the masses with his hit singles “Lego House”, “Give Me Love” and “The A Team”. He went on to dominate the music charts in 11 countries. Aside from penning his own songs, ED has lent his songwriting skills to world-dominating boy band ONE DIRECTION and country/pop favourite TAYLOR SWIFT.

From the release of his first single, “The A Team”, the world started falling in love with ED. In the two years since the release of +, ED has been nominated for some of the industry’s most prestigious awards. In 2012 alone, he was nominated for an ARIA Award, four BRIT Awards (winning two!), an MTV Europe Music Award and two World Music Awards. Since then, ED has been nominated for three Grammy Awards. 

ED has always had an affinity with Australia, selling over one million singles and touring three times in less than two years. He even cast local actress Isabel Lucas in the video for “Give Me Love”.

The star-studded TV WEEK Logie Awards will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Crown Entertainment Complex’s Palladium Room in Melbourne. The event will also be broadcast on the Nine Network.
