Carlotta’s departure from Channel 10’s morning show made headlines in May 2018 but now the showgirl is ready to bring her ‘politically incorrect’ opinions back to the desk.
TV Blackbox is thrilled to announce fan-favourite Carlotta is returning to our screens as she resumes her relationship with Studio 10.
Channel 10 has confirmed the news and the outspoken performer tells us the time is right for her glorious return;
“I’m looking forward to seeing Sarah, Joe, Craig and Angela again. It’s been a long time and I can’t wait to share my outrageous views with Australia because I’m politically incorrect and I say it as it is, whereas a lot of people don’t.”
The relationship between Carlotta and producers soured which ultimately led to her cutting ties with the show. In September last year she told me why she left when I interviewed her on my McKnight Tonight podcast;
“There was a lot of fabulous people, it was a tight-knit thing which we had at Channel 10, but when it all split up I didn’t enjoy it anymore,”
“And not only that, I was really treated a bit unfairly. I just think they tossed me around, you know, ‘we’ll use her there or use her there,’ and I felt a bit rejected so I did the right thing, I just quit.”
Since those comments Tamara Simoneau has taken over as Executive Producer and the show is starting to reconnect with audiences and previous members of the extended ‘family’. It appears Simoneau is looking at what worked on the show previously and is making changes to re-engage viewers who had abandoned it.
In fact Studio 10 Executive Producer, Tamara Simoneau told us:
“The Studio 10 team can’t wait to catch up with Carlotta again. She’s a much-loved member of the extended family and we look forward to her guest appearance in August.”
It’s no secret presenter Sarah Harris has maintained a good friendship with Carlotta and has been keen for her to come back on board. In fact is was Harris who originally suggested Carlotta become a regular panellist.
Carlotta will take up her seat as a guest panellist on August 19 and 20 during a busy period of her life as she is currently working on a stage show called I’m not dead yet Darlings.
