A big night across the board for Seven. The X Factor Australia (2nd – 1,226,000) premieres strong, bumping up Sunday Night (4th – 1,167,000). The final A Place To Call Home (7th – 1,050,000) comes home strong too. The Voice Kids Australia (5th – 1,150,000), 60 Minutes (6th – 1,131,000) and House Husbands (13th – 787,000) perform reasonably well for Nine. The highly anticipated Ian Thorpe: The Parkinson Interview (8th – 982,000) performs well considering the competition AND runs for 90 minutes. MasterChef Australia (9th – 956,000) solid as well though the launch of Extant (16th – 614,000) not inspiring for Ten (and puts it in dangerous early cancellation/moving to the “all-new” time of 11:30pm too soon).
