Now that the second last week of ratings is upon us (Week 47), we can start to ponder the year that’s been. What’s been a winner and what’s tanked for the networks. It’s a decent review and I’ll be publishing a report card for each network through this week to account for their wins, losses and line balls – there’s plenty of all of them for each primary channel. There’s also the concern of what we’re faced with over Summer as far as programming goes… you’d be surprised what the networks will offer us. But more on that when the ratings year ends.

Bye bye Gruen Planet for the year. How we’ll miss you. The expansion of your brand to include spin was timely as well as inspired, and we’ve all appreciated it. Hurry back soon.

Season 3 of Breaking Bad continues to amaze at the drama in the bleak and insane. If you’ve not seen the series at all, get involved.

This week’s penultimate episode of The Slap focuses on Aisha, and the world crumbling around her. More spectacular drama from a series that deserves every accolade we can give it. This week on MolksTVTalk – the Podcast we interview one of the writers (and bit-part actors) Brendan Cowell and discuss making the series, as well as the state of Australian drama (out Thursday).
