In Qld and NSW at least (and allegedly), Survivor will be replayed weekly on GEM on Friday nights at 7:30pm. I believe in other states the NRL is broadcast in this timeslot, so it may pay to look for it elsewhere in the schedule.

Hilarious!!! I burst out out laughing at the “courageous” vomiting image. Oh masterchef, how I love thee! It’s nice to take a break from watching the news where people have real problems and watch these contestants wax lyrical on how courageous they are! Brilliant – especially loved the chunder on the telly as the “courageous” comment was made. Must admit I had to choke back the vom as well… tasted diced carrot and tomato skins for hours, which somewhat detracted from the visions on the box, oh well, never mind.

Football is big money to the networks (Channel 7 & Channel 9), and Friday night is a big night for viewing. If it’s any consolation it’s only in MEL/ADL/PER that the footy replaces Home & Away.

I will not be watching the wiggles anymore. The group was much better with sam as yellow than greg, his ideas and performances were not even up to childrens levels. The way they kept sam out and handled this, ridiculous.

Glee has become to serious. Ok we get the whole gay thing, yes relationships are important. It’s lacking Jayne lynch more slap stick. More comedy. Friends did the same thing, stopped being funny becoming about love!
We are about to lose major characters. If you don’t replace them with equally strong characters it could bring the end to glee. Less soppy music, and ok a sad loss of Whitney , but a whole episode waisted on a person with a shady past questionable choices. Think!
Bring back that pop kids enjoying school. Its good to see icons on the show but, it’s not all about the icon attempting to launch a fresh career. Make it what it should and started off as.. Light entertainment fun laughter and hope.

Was I the only one that thought the light fitting Sophie had made was really ugly? It looked ok when it was lit, but when the lights were off it just looked tacky. And Dan and Dani’s room was possibly my least favourite (the styling was off) whereas I really liked Brad and Lara’s. The comments the judges were making didn’t match up with the way they scored, for my liking… Trying to trick the audience again like Fatty Matty from Masterchef…

Indeed, a correction and an apology to Chuck Lorre is in order. I think the big message here is that hundreds of thousands of people switched off not long after Two Broke Girls started. 800,000 is not bad at that late hour (Ten would kills for numbers like that at any time on a regular basis) but I think it’s fair to say Nine expected more from the show.

Late EPG changes haven’t been reflected before, despite what OzTAM say, so I was working from the premise that they’d missed it again. As you mention, it’s still good data for BBT if the changes have been reflected. Thanks!

Steve, I think you may be wrong in your analysis re. The Voice running overtime. Although printed guides may have said otherwise, I checked the EPG in the afternoon, and Big Bang was scheduled to start at 9.19pm, which is pretty much did. On my reading of the Oztam methodlogy (http://mediafederation.org.au/careers/about-industry/media-research), the data should therefore be accurate. In any case, Nine can (and almost certainly would, because it wants the best possible figures for all its show) correct the info by the afternoon. If there’s no change, and everybody does their job properly, then Big Bang did indeed score 1.5m (and even more with time-shifting data incorporated).

Molks, I’ve got to pull you up on something – it was a “doona insert” to be precise. Even though a doona insert is – well a doona. It was riveting TV for at least 10 minutes while they sorted out the “doona insert” fiasco of 2012.

Agreed, Geoff. It’s amazing. I don’t think we’ve seen a launch as big, or as much maintained interest (for the first two nights). It’s enough to give The Block an inferiority complex (thank you!)…

It’s truly astounding.

The show is severely overrated and a tad bit girly kinda like Home and Away.

I’ll watch the 6 or so episodes left in the season but overall it’s pretty ‘meh’. Probably just my personal taste though.

Is there a Logies category for ‘Funniest Online Recap of a Reality TV Series’? No?! Well, there should be! This would be a hands down winner! If there were a similar oversight regarding European television awards, people would be rioting in the streets, torching cars and throwing Molotov cocktails. But what do we do? We close our doors and watch ‘Australia’s Funniest Home Videos’. Hmmmm … Maybe we should petition TV Week to have that category added to its list for next year because you are missing out on the recognition you so justly deserve. Chris, this is so funny. You have pushed yourself to your limits again this week but I hope there is still some juice left in the tank to be able to churn out another rollicking recap next week. Mr Owens, I love your work!
